Kristen Gullott is a seasoned campaign professional and intergovernmental affairs specialist focusing on the intersection of state and federal affairs and issue management. With more than 15 years of experience providing strategic guidance to elected officials and executives at the highest levels, Ms. Gullott brings a wealth of experience in national politics, state and federal affairs and project management and event planning.  Her deep relationships with key policymakers and their staffs across the country, at both state and federal levels, make her uniquely positioned to develop and execute legislative and relationship building strategies for the firm's clients.

 

Her experiences, her contacts, and her approach have earned her the trust and respect of those for whom she has worked – creating an unmatched expertise, understanding and database that have made her an invaluable asset to her clients.

 

Before founding the Dogwood Strategies in 2012, she was a director at the Brown Rudnick, where she managed a state and federal government affairs practice ranging from Fortune 500 companies to business services companies. Her work included managing day to day government operations at both the state and federal level for an international manufacturing company, relationship building for a Fortune 500 company with emerging and state leaders, reputation and brand-building campaigns for small- and medium-sized companies, and coalition building impacted housing legislation.  Previously, Ms. Gullott has served as staff to the Hon. Karl C. Rove, Senior Advisor to the President and Deputy White House Chief of Staff, as well as Policy and Intergovernmental Affairs Director in the Office of Fossil Energy, U.S. Department of Energy.  Additionally, she worked as Director of Special Events for the Republican National Committee,, acting as the primary liaison between the White House and the RNC. 

 

She is currently a member of the Finance Committee for the Republican Governors Association, the Democratic Governors Association and the National Republican Congressional Committee.  Ms. Gullott has deep relationships with the policymakers and their staffs at both the state and Federal level, making her uniquely positioned to develop and execute legislative and relationship building strategies that intersect between the state and Federal government.
